Melanie Fahey

Practice Manager

Bringing a wealth of experience in the legal industry as well as energy, kindness and optimism to our team, we are glad to welcome Mel back to LOA Law.

Legal expertise

Mel originally started at LOA Law (then Lyon O’Neale Arnold) at the end of 2006, as the Practice Manager for both the Tauranga and Mount Maunganui offices. Having worked in law firms since she was 16 years old, Mel bought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Practice Manager role.

Seven years later it was time for Mel to leave Lyon O’Neale Arnold to focus on raising her three gorgeous children. Ten years later, we are lucky enough to have her back as our Practice Manager once again.

Mel’s energetic, kind and perpetually optimistic nature makes her a natural fit for our team. When she is not in the office, she can be found enjoying all that life has to offer; whether that be in the gym, catching up for a walk and a coffee with friends, or heading away camping with her family.

Mel, originally from Christchurch, has found her home in the Bay of Plenty, with everything she could ever want at her fingertips.

Buying Property

Welcome to our second Simon Says podcast episode! In this episode, Simon takes a broad look at the process of buying property in New Zealand.

We were returning expats, and as such this transaction required additional supporting evidence to meet the requirements of New Zealand's anti-money laundering legislation. Caen not only professionally assisted us to navigate our way through the legal requirements, but did so in a manner that was approachable, friendly and very patient. Based on our experience, we have no hesitation in recommending Caen Chapman-Taylor's professional services.
