Having grown up on a dairy farm in the Waikato, Nick swapped gumboots for law books after deciding that farming really wasn’t for him.
Nick specialises in Property, Commercial and Trust Law, advising clients on a variety of matters, including the sale and purchase of properties and businesses, leases, franchises, company and shareholder matters, contract law issues and disputes, relationship property, wills and powers of attorney.
Outside work Nick enjoys spending time with his family, keeping fit and watching sport. He has a particular interest in cricket and rugby league, having played cricket for the Otumoetai Cadets Cricket Club and rugby league for the Tauranga Whalers and Otumoetai Eels. He is also a loyal (and long suffering) supporter of the New Zealand Warriors.
Nick volunteers as a Trustee of the Wish for Fish Charitable Trust, a charity that helps people with physical and mental disabilities take part in water-based activities such as fishing, and as a Trustee of the Bay of Plenty Education Trust, a charity that grants scholarships to tertiary students studying in the fields of science, technology and other emerging industries.
We have used Nick Earl for a variety of services recently and always find him great to deal with. He explains all the legal jargon well, and his team are well organised which makes the whole process easy for everyone involved.
